There is an ancient tradition of baptismal candidates being baptised on Pascha then taking their first communion during the Paschal Divine Liturgy. This year we had a baptismal candidate (a catechumen) who had readied herself to be baptised on Pascha. It was our joy to baptise her into Christ on this most holy day.
