II Corinthians 6:16–18, 7:1

16What agreement can there be between God’s sanctuary and idols? For you are a sanctuary of the living God. Even as God said, “I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they will be my people.” 17Therefore:

‘Come out from among them and be separate,’ says the Lord. ‘Touch no unclean thing.
I will receive you.
I will be a Father to you.
You will be to me sons and daughters,’

says the Lord Almighty.”

1Since we have these promises, beloved, let us purify ourselves from all defilement of flesh and spirit, so that we may bring [our] holiness to completion in the fear of God.

You will hear this Epistle read at The Good Shepherd Orthodox Church during Holy Week, on Great and Holy Wednesday. It is paired with a Gospel reading from Matthew 8:14-23.
